Dennis Farina - Film Star Dennis Farina Arrested At Airport

Hollywood actor and former police officer Dennis Farina has been arrested at Los Angeles International Airport for carrying a loaded gun before getting on a plane.

Farina, who is best known for his role as New York Detective Joe Fontana on Law & Order, told police he forgot he had the 22 calibre, semi-automatic pistol on him when he attempted to pass through airport security.

Reuters reported the actor was due to fly home to Chicago on a United Airlines flight.

In a statement, police said: "Farina was very apologetic and cooperative with officers.

"However, he had no apparent authority to carry a concealed weapon at the time of his arrest."

According to Reuters, the actor was initially charged with carrying a loaded firearm and bail was set at $25,000.

However, police later discovered the weapon was unregistered and the charge was upgraded from a misdemeanour to a felony. Bail was set at $35,000.

Farina was an officer in the Chicago Police Department for 20 years until 1985 and went on to film roles including Jimmy Serrano, the mobster in Midnight Run. Farina was also in Get Shorty and Out of Sight.

CAKE Vocalist Tells REVUE He's Trading Touring for Farming

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., June 1 -- Burning through fossil
fuels while on tour and the devaluation of recorded music are proving to be
a bad recipe for CAKE. That's why John McCrea, lead singer of the
Sacramento-based alternative rock band, is claiming he's ready to quit the
music business for a more agrarian way of life.

"I really don't believe in touring, and yet it's becoming the only
thing that I've got. I'll probably quit and become a farmer pretty soon,"
McCrea tells Editor Jen Pider in an exclusive interview this month in
REVUE, a monthly magazine that highlights entertainment in West Michigan.
The McCrea interview, which can also be found on the magazine's Website
(http://www.revuewm.com), comes in front of CAKE's appearance at the Frederik
Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, Mich. on Thursday, June 5.

When asked to clarify his comments, McCrea told Pider: "I'm serious. I
love growing trees, and I'm a pretty good gardener. I'm thinking, pretty
seriously, about buying a chunk of land and growing things."

The June edition of REVUE also features interviews with Primus founder
Les Claypool, local indie rockers Chance Jones and other national and local
artists. The 92-page edition, the magazine's largest in years, also
features stories about local happenings in the arts, theater, film, dining
and family entertainment.

Founded in 1988 as Music Revue, the publication recently changed its
name to REVUE to reflect a broader editorial mission of covering all forms
of entertainment rather than just music. In line with the name change,
REVUE overhauled its editorial coverage and design, launched a new Website
(revuewm.com), expanded distribution and increased circulation by 67
percent.

"We intend to make REVUE a better read for West Michigan residents, and
a better branding tool for entertainment venues, artists, restaurants,
beverage companies and other consumer brands interested in reaching the
West Michigan audience," Publisher Greg Bakeman said.

About REVUE

Founded in 1988, REVUE is a free monthly entertainment guide that
covers music, arts, film, dining and family entertainment in West Michigan.
The publication can be found at more than 500 locations throughout Grand
Rapids, Kalamazoo, Muskegon, Holland, Grand Haven, Saugatuck, Battle Creek
